About
This Blog
Inliniac is my weblog about all kinds of inline network security, NSM and Intrusion Detection. I may also use it to write about other subjects that I find interesting.
Me
My name is Victor Julien. I live in the Netherlands in Western Europe. I’m a IT professional and enthousiast. During my studies, I have worked as system and network administrator. I’m currently working as a freelance contract developer for security software. My resume is available on request. For more info see my LinkedIn profile.
My projects
Since almost four years I have my own Open Source project called Vuurmuur, which is a Linux/IPtables frontend. Originally started as a little project to learn coding in C, it since as evolved to be a full featured firewall. Next to this i’m one of the developers that work on the Snort_inline project. Here I focus mostly on the TCP state engine and stream reassembler. I orginally created the ClamAV plugin for Snort, which is now mostly maintained by Snort_Inline maintainer William Metcalf. Finally I have written a ModSecurity agent for Sguil called modsec2sguil.
